24/7 support, resources and information to help with all of life's challenges. From no-cost, confidential counseling and legal support, to financial information and personalized work-life resources. Available to ALL NMSU employees and their family members living in the same household.

Wellness Program

The Wellness department at NMSU provides services through AggieFit membership to Recreational Sports, Activity Center, Intramural Sports, Outdoor Recreation, and the Aquatic Center (Natatorium). We strive to support the NMSU community with access to wellness related programs, and to provide facilities for fitness activities. For more information, visit the AggieFit website.

NMSU employees may elect to see a provider at the Aggie Health and Wellness Center for their acute health care needs. Chronic, long term care should be followed by the patient ‘s primary care (PCP).

Diagnostic testing, imaging and specialty referrals ordered by AHWC providers can be applied to insurance plans payable according to policy benefits as an out of network provider

National Diabetes Prevention Program

The National Diabetes Prevention Program is available at no-cost for NMSU employees and is proven to reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes by more than half.

University Golf Course

The New Mexico State University Golf Course opened in 1963 and is located on the beautiful campus of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Our championship, 18-hole golf course is open to the public year round for your golfing enjoyment. The NMSU Golf Course offers a number of options for hosting tournaments, group outings or a league. Workers' Compensation

All employees (including student employees) are protected under the provisions of the Workers' Compensation Law of the State of New Mexico. On-the-job accidents and occupational diseases incurred while working for the university are eligible for coverage.

Environmental Health & Safety

Environmental, Health and Safety is committed to facilitating University safety, health and environmental protection by providing and coordinating programs and services that support teaching, learning and research activities. Through these EH&S programs and our partnerships with various constituents of the campus and regulatory agencies, we prevent personal injury, recognize and control hazards, minimize risk and loss, and provide leadership in environmental stewardship.
