Workers' Compensation

All employees (including student employees) are protected under the provisions of the Workers' Compensation Law of the State of New Mexico. On-the-job accidents and occupational diseases incurred while working for the university are eligible for coverage.

Environmental, Health and Safety is committed to facilitating University safety, health and environmental protection by providing and coordinating programs and services that support teaching, learning and research activities. Through these EH&S programs and our partnerships with various constituents of the campus and regulatory agencies, we prevent personal injury, recognize and control hazards, minimize risk and loss, and provide leadership in environmental stewardship.

Employee Assistance Program

For employees experiencing personal and work related issues affecting their job performance, the Employee Assistance Program is available. It is a confidential counseling and referral service that is available to all NMSU faculty and staff.

Wellness Program

The Wellness department at NMSU provides services through AggieFit membership to Recreational Sports, Activity Center and Intramural Sports, Outdoor Recreation, Fitness/Wellness, and the Aquatic Center (Natatorium). University Golf Course

The New Mexico State University Golf Course opened in 1963 and is located on the beautiful campus of New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Our championship, 18-hole golf course is open to the public year round for your golfing enjoyment. The NMSU Golf Course offers a number of options for hosting tournaments, group outings or a league.
