2018 Open Enrollment

Open enrollment for medical/prescription, dental, vision, critical illness, and flexible spending account benefits will be available from
October
2, 2017 through October 27, 2017

 

Employees who do not wish to make any changes to their medical/prescription, dental, vision or critical illness benefits do not need to take any action.

Employees who wish to continue or enroll for flex spending account benefits are required to complete the enrollment form.

Note: Employees ADDING NEW DEPENDENTS to medical, dental, vision, or critical illness must provide marriage certificates and/or birth certificates/legal adoption/custody papers to establish the relationship to the new dependent. Please see eligibility page for details.

NMSU employees are encouraged to attend one of the informational meetings scheduled for October 11th, 2017 to learn about the medical/prescription and dental plans to be effective January 1, 2018. Registration is not required to attend a meeting, but space is limited.

Representatives from the medical/prescription, dental and vision carriers will be presenting information on their respective plans for the 2018 plan year. For those employees who cannot join the meetings in person, a recorded version of the presentations will be available on the Benefit Services website the week after the live meetings.

2018 Medical Plan Changes:

    • Emergency Room Visit Copays will be $250 (from $225), and
    • Free EAP Counseling Sessions – 3 free sessions instead of 6
